Image – Text – Performance
'Image', 'text' and 'performance' function in this research area as heuristic categories for the analysis of artistic and, more broadly, cultural fields of symbolism and action. The transfer of these categories from the literary, art and media sciences into other scientific contexts, including sociology, law, political science, theology and theory of science enables analysis at the diachronic and synchronic levels of the specific visual, textual and performative constitution and organization of cultural systems.
