Lecture Series

The research core area organizes several lecture series:

1) The series 'Concepts of Cultural Sciences' presents material intersecting all the research areas in the research core area and introduces central conceptions of the cultural sciences crossing disciplinary boundaries.

2) The series 'Contemporary Cultural Theories' introduces classical and contemporary developments in cultural theory and offers a theoretical and intellectual historical basis for joint research and projects in the parameters of the university's research core area 'Cultural History and Interpretations of Europe'.

3) The series 'Europe and…' illuminates various facets of the scientific engagement with Europe as a cultural, political, economic, and/or symbolic space, forming an interdisciplinary reference point for researchers working in the research core area.
