Concepts of Cultural Sciences

A lecture series in the research core area 'Cultural History and Interpretations of Europe"

Since the cultural turn, the cultural sciences have become an integral part of the scientific landscape. The cultural scientific perspective is not and never was monolithic, but rather highly differentiated and dynamic. It has become indispensible for the scientific observation of human life and action. In order to provide a survey of the various concepts of the cultural sciences, and to encourage an interdisciplinary exchange, scientists at the university of Graz present in the lecture series 'Concepts of Cultural Sciences' theoretical approaches and cultural scientific concepts that are of particular significance to their research.


All participants in the research core area are invited, as are all those interested in the cultural sciences.
